More than 150 disc
jockeys, journalists and music producers from all over the World voted
in this edition, which featured 41 Countries. Different styles and genres
were represented in this edition: from dance-pop music, to
ethnic and turbofolk rhythms to the more actual
electro-dance sounds. Winner of the 2007
Eurodanceweb award is Ultrabeat vs. Darren Styles
with "Sure Feels Good", representing the United
Kingdom. Ultrabeat are three producers
Mike
Di Scala, Chris Henry and Ian Redman from Liverpool,
who became very succesful in the British dance scene
with the hit singles "Pretty Green Eyes" (#2 in the
Official UK single chart), "Feeling Fine" and their
summer 2006 single "Elysium". In 2007 they released
their very first album simply entitled "The Album"
which charted at number 8 in the Official UK sales
charts, which features all their past hits and new
songs such as "Sure Feels Good", sung by Rebecca
Rudd.
Darren Styles has been on the dance scene for over
13 years and has become one of the most popular
British hardore disc jockeys. In 1999 Darren teamed
up with another hardcore DJ, Mark Breeze, and
together they formed Styles & Breeze, which were
chosen as the 2005 British entry for the
Eurodanceweb award with "Heartbeatz". Darren is also
responsible along with Breeze for the biggest
selling UK hardcore compilation series – Clubland
X-Treme Hardcore.
Norway
placed second with the Vasco & Millboy remix of
Malin Schavenius' "Under Stjernerne". This song
entered the 2007 Norsk Melodi Grand Prix, the
Norwegian selection for the Eurovision Song Contest.
Vasco &
Millboy are Jorge Vasconcelo
and Juha Myllylä, two well-known disc jockeys and
producers from Sweden who remixed several Swedish
songs of artist such as Da Buzz,Tess and Caramell.
Eurodance lovers may also
remember the Swedish singer Therese as the lead
vocalist of Drömhus, who in the late Nineties
released many succesful hits such as "Vill Ha Dig"
and "Stjärna På Himmelen". She placed third in this
year's Eurodanceweb chart with her solo hit single "Feelin'me"
which was released in the spring of 2007. Therese
has been co-working
with the
Swedish DJ and producer Stonebridge, who remixed her
first solo single, Monkey, in 2002 and later invited
her to sing two song which became international hits,
"Put Em High", "Take Me Away". Among other big names taking part
to this year's Eurodanceweb chart, we must remember the
Danish group Infernal, who topped the charts all over
the world with "From Paris to Berlin", "From A to the B"
and many other hits! They represented their Country at
Eurodance with "I Won't Be Crying". Other famous artists
competing this year were the Dutch singer Liz Kay, who
has topped the charts in several European Countries with
her debut single "When Love Becomes A Lie", produced by

"To The Beat". The 2007 Eurodanceweb line-up
featured also some come-backs. The winners of the very
first edition of our song contest, the Croatian dance
band Colonia, were chosen to represent their
Country for the second time with the song "Do Kraja".
After a 4 year-break Iceland took part again to the
Eurodanceweb chart with the song "Vil Annan Dag I
Paradis" performed by Bjarthar
