The German dance act Alex C feat. Yass won the eight edition of the Eurodanceweb Award with the song "Doktorspiele"! The project was created in 2007 by the producer Alex Christensen, who in the past co-worked with big names of the international dance scene such as Right Said Fred, ATC, Rollergirl and many others. The winning song was taken from the album "Euphorie" released in many European Countries, which featured 14 tracks in German, English and Spanish.

Just 7 points behind the winner, Moldova placed second with Crazy Loop, alter-ego of Dan Balan, one of the members of the boyband O-Zone who became very popular all over the World in 2004 with the song "Dragostea Din Tei".

Austria achieved the third place thanks to the duo Fabrizio & Marco and their greatest hit "Fly Away". The entry was released for the first time in 2007 with an italo-dance sound and was then remixed in different styles including hands-up and electro.

After winning the second edition of the Eurodanceweb project, Slovenia was back in the top 5 with Kristina's "Ona Se Ljubi Sama" remixed by the Croatian band Karma, while Italy placed fifth with "Anche Solo Per Un Attimo" by Bloom06, a dance project formed in 2006 by Maury Lobina and Gianfranco Randone, former members of the popular act Eiffel 65.

More than 120 disc jockeys, journalists and music producers voted the songs which competed in this edition, selected by the Eurodanceweb staff after monitoring the European dance scene.
