Created in 2001, the Eurodanceweb Project aims to promote dance music produced in Europe and the Mediterranean Area. Every year the editors of www.eurodanceweb.net monitor the dance record market and then select the best song to represent each Country in a competition.

The chosen tracks, that must have a strong link with their national language or culture, are then voted by a professional jury (with disc jockeys, journalists and producers) that nominates the best Eurodance song of the year. Also readers can have a say by voting their favorite song, among all the competing entries, in an Online Poll. The results of both charts are published within the end of each year on this website.

Since the launch of this project in 2001, many things have changed in the dance music scene: new styles developed and new rhythms have come into. In a period characterized by minimal and tech-house sounds, melody is the main feature of all the chosen tracks competing in this contest. In order to prove that dance can still give strong feelings and emotions!
